Image-based authentication can be used as a dynamic, mutual authentication technology for anti-phishing.

It allows the website to authenticate the user while at the same time allowing the user to ensure they are on the legitimate website and not a spoofed site before entering their password. This prevents the user from entering their passwords on phishing sites and provides strong authentication for a more secure login.

Confident ImageShield requires active participation from the user as they must correctly pick out the pictures the match their secret authentication categories. It also adds a one-time password to the login process, providing strong authentication and preventing phishing attacks.
